How Uncontained Light Came to Be

Welcome to Uncontained Light, an eco-conscious candle brand. Thank you for taking the time to visit the website and read my post. I, the founder, have always been an artistic person and have enjoyed crafting with my hands. As I continued on in life, I had less and less time for creative outlets, due to having to prioritize other responsibilities. Not too long ago, I experienced a hostile work environment. After that experience, I felt the need to take greater control of my career and the kind of environment I work in. I gravitated towards candle making; candles are both an artistic piece/decor and have a practical use that people could benefit from. However, another area I’m passionate about is sustainability, and protecting the Earth. The Earth and nature provide so much for use as humans it is important that we do what we can to perverse the Earth. There is only one Earth. Sadly, due to consumerism, waste and land pollution has significantly increased over time. This has had an adverse impact on nature. So many companies are focused on profitability, even at the expense of the environment. And with people’s busy lives limiting their time and having less awareness of eco-friendly options, it can be harder for consumers to find and make eco-friendly purchases. When you buy your candles from Uncontained Light, you're buying from an eco-conscious company, and you're getting a product that won’t contribute to the longevity of landfills and surface waste. Our candles are made from all natural ingredients, down to the fragrances used. We’ve eliminated the candle container, while keeping the aesthetic quality sometimes provided by the container. We’ve done this by incorporating a design into the candle itself. There are a lot of fun potential candle shapes out there but I try to pick candle designs that won’t instantly fall apart once you light it. Customers also have the option to get a reusable bamboo candle holder to catch the candle wax. I hope you join me on my journey as I grow my business and incorporate and try new products.
