How Uncontained Light Came to Be

Welcome to Uncontained Light, an eco-conscious candle brand. Thank you for taking the time to visit the website and read my post. I, the founder, have always been an artistic person and have enjoyed crafting with my hands. As I continued on in life, I had less and less time for creative outlets due to prioritizing other responsibilities such as work. Not too long ago I experienced a hostile work environment. After that experience, I felt the need to take greater control of my career and my work environment. I started to look into entrepreneurship and what types of services/products I would want to share with the world. I gravitated towards candle making; candles are both an artistic piece/decor and have a practical use that people could benefit from. Pursuing candle making would also allow me to incorporate my creative side into a business. Another area I’m passionate about is sustainability and protecting the Earth. The Earth and nature provide so much for use as humans, it is important that we do what we can to perverse them. There is only one Earth. Sadly, consumerism, waste, and land pollution has significantly increased over time, adversely impacting the environment. So many companies are focused on profitability at the expense of the environment. And with people’s busy lives limiting their time, and having less awareness of eco-friendly options, it can be harder for consumers to find and make eco-friendly purchases. I've taken the guess work out for consumers. When you buy your candles from Uncontained Light, you're buying from an eco-conscious company, and you're getting a product designed not to contribute to the longevity of landfills and surface waste. Our candles are made from all natural ingredients, including the fragrances used. I've gotten rid of the candle container, while keeping the aesthetic quality sometimes provided by the container. I did this by incorporating a design into the candle itself. There are a lot of fun candle shapes out there but I try to pick candle designs that won’t instantly fall apart once you light it. Customers also have the option to get a reusable bamboo candle holder to catch the candle wax. I hope you join me on my journey as I grow my business and try out products!
